Sip & Swap at Earthbound: A Heartfelt Thank You

This past weekend, Coastal Connect hosted our very first Sip & Swap event at Earthbound, and I couldn’t be more grateful. From start to finish, it was a day filled with sunshine, community, and generosity—and it wouldn’t have been possible without the incredible group of friends who didn’t hesitate to step in and help.

Supporting Gathering for Women

What made this event extra special was that every swap supported Gathering for Women, an amazing local nonprofit that provides meals, resources, and critical services to women experiencing homelessness in Monterey. Thanks to everyone who attended, we were collect more clothing than I could have imagined! Part of the funds raised went directly toward purchasing much-needed sunglasses and sunscreen for the women Gathering serves—essentials that help provide dignity and comfort every day.

A Sustainable Way to Refresh Your Closet

The Sip & Swap gave us all a chance to shop sustainably, refresh our wardrobes before fall, and give pre-loved items a new home. All clothing left after the event is being donated directly to the women at Gathering for Women, ensuring nothing goes to waste.

Fun, Community, & a Little Extra

Every item brought to swap was also a ticket into our raffle, with prizes thoughtfully purchased from the Earthbound Farm Stand Shop. It was a fun way to give back while also highlighting the amazing things Earthbound offers. If you haven’t been lately, I highly encourage you to stop by—whether it’s for fresh, organic produce, seasonal treats, or to enjoy their beautiful gardens. It’s truly a Carmel Valley gem.
